RADIOASTRONOMY FOR SCHOOLS

    What is the Radiojove Project ? It concerns a project of radioastronomT for the Schools or Institutes. It is coordinated and supported from the N.A.S.A. whose coordinator is Dr. Jim Thieman.

 

The objectives of the Project are:

    Sticking to the Project it is simple all takes informing, by e-mail, the coordinator. The N.A.S.A. it is available on form, to send a receiver to the Schools or Institutes a radio (to build) and two antennas; the cost of the kit it is around the 125 dollars. The N.A.S.A. to application it grants the free download any software to analyze the radio signals received.

 

Operations

   Near the Schools or Institutes they will be installed a station a radio receiving and the antennas. With the aid of a program software, the relative data to the better period they can be acquired for the receipt of the radio signal from the planet Jupiter. With a common recorder they will be memorized these noises and subsequently they will be analyzed with the software of the N.A.S.A., to extrapolate the useful signal. The picked data will be envoys to the N.A.S.A. and published in Internet.
